Join Us at Claver House — Part-Time Administrative Assistant

 

Claver House is a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to serving our community with compassion and dignity. We are looking for a Part-Time Administrative Assistant (19 hours per week) to support our President and play a vital role in advancing our mission.

 

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a small, mission-focused team where your work will have a direct impact on our ability to serve others. You’ll gain experience across multiple aspects of nonprofit operations, including project coordination, communications, and volunteer support.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate meetings, events, and projects.

  • Support volunteers and help them stay engaged.

  • Assist with scheduling, communication, and file/calendar management.

  • Maintain supplies and serve as point of contact for facility needs.

  • Take on special projects and initiatives to strengthen our mission.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • A mission-driven person who wants to contribute to the greater good.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Comfort with computers and office tools.

  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt.

  • Someone detail-oriented, personable, and collaborative.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Availability for occasional Saturday mornings.

 

Details

  • Part-time: 19 hours per week, year-round.

  • Flexible scheduling with some required on-site hours.
